Pancakes & Purpose
Trinity’s Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner was a fun evening of good food and fellowship for a purpose. Thanks to 29 dedicated volunteers, the event served 92 dinners and raised $1,285 for ELCA World Hunger.
Church members, friends, and neighbors enjoyed the chance to sit together, catch up, and share a meal. Fat Tuesday pancake dinners are a longstanding tradition that offer a time to gather and celebrate before the season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. The dinners serve as a way to mark the shift into a more reflective time in the church year. At Trinity, the past two years have taken this celebration a step further by raising funds for those in need. Last year, donations supported Global Refuge. This year, we supported ELCA World Hunger. We plan to continue to have these dinners for a purpose for many years to come!
A special thanks to the volunteers who made the evening possible. They worked behind the scenes to decorate the Fellowship Hall, flip hundreds of pancakes, greet guests, and serve meals. The cleanup crew ensured everything was taken care of, including the sticky syrup!
This Pancake Dinner was more than a fundraiser; it reflected Trinity’s heart for service and our commitment to transform lives by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
