Trinity Lutheran Church is a warm and welcoming faith community celebrating the gifts of God every day. Our mission is to transform lives by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Trinity has been part of the North Shore community for over 125 years. We give thanks for the faith and courage of the Scandinavian immigrants who founded this congregation—and we celebrate how our community has grown and changed ever since. Today, Trinity is home to people of many backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. We welcome you, wherever you're from, whoever you are, and whatever path has brought you here.
Worship is at the heart of our life together. Rooted in Lutheran tradition, our services are shaped by scripture, prayer, and a rich variety of music. They are also responsive to the needs and struggles of our neighbors and the world around us. Some Sundays feel more formal, others more relaxed—but each time we gather, we trust that God meets us in word and sacrament, grounding us in grace and calling us into lives marked by reconciliation, transformation, and joy.
We care deeply about learning and growing in faith across all ages. Faith formation at Trinity begins in early childhood and continues through high school and beyond. We offer developmentally appropriate early childhood faith formation, a Confirmation program for 5th–8th graders, and a post-Confirmation high school group. Adults gather throughout the week for small group studies and Sunday forums that explore scripture, theology, spirituality, and current affairs.
We also care for one another. Trinity has a long tradition of walking with people who are facing illness, aging, loss, or other challenges. Through personal connections and intentional acts of care, we try to be a community where no one feels alone.
And we believe that faith calls us beyond ourselves. Trinity is active in social ministry in our communities and around the world. We've helped resettle refugee families from many different countries, and we’re currently partnering with other congregations to sponsor an asylum-seeking family.
If any of this speaks to something you're longing for, or makes you curious to learn more, we’d be glad to welcome you.
