Music is an essential part of our life together at Trinity Lutheran Church. Whether you love to sing, play an instrument, lead song, or explore new musical styles, there’s a place for you here. Trinity offers opportunities to participate in choirs, handbells, vocal and instrumental ensembles, and solo music leadership. Rather than dividing music into categories like “traditional” or “contemporary,” we draw from a wide range of musical traditions—local and global, ancient and emerging—as part of one unified worship service. As a Lutheran congregation within a global Christian movement, we value music that reflects the fullness of our community and welcome people of all cultures, backgrounds, and experiences to join in.

Vocal Music

Trinity offers two adult choirs, each providing a distinct way to make music and build community. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses weekly and prepares a more challenging repertoire to enrich our worship with both accompanied and unaccompanied music, typically in SATB arrangement. The Spirit Ensemble gathers monthly in members’ homes for rehearsal, food, and fellowship—blending musical leadership with community connection. It’s a great entry point for those looking to sing, grow in faith, and build relationships. Both groups welcome new voices, whether you’re an experienced chorister or simply curious.

Handbell Choir

Trinity’s handbell choir is a welcoming group of musicians who bring a joyful sound to worship. You don’t need prior experience with handbells to join, but the ability to read music and count rhythms is important. We rehearse regularly and play in worship every few weeks. Whether you’re an experienced ringer or looking for a new way to contribute your musical gifts, we’d love to have you.

Instrumental Music

At Trinity, we celebrate the rich variety of instruments that help enliven our worship and accompany our song. Whether you play guitar, flute, violin, bass, drums, clarinet, harp—or even something more unexpected—we’d love to help you offer your musical gifts in praise. Musicians of all ages are welcome to participate. Contact Philip McPeek, Director of Worship and Music, for more information.
