Honoring Peg Lee
Trinity’s 2026 Vision Keeper
Interfaith Action of Evanston
Peg Lee is being honored as Trinity’s Vision Keeper for 2026. A tireless leader and volunteer for the past 40 years, Peg has served twice as Church Council President, for many years as an organizer of both the annual Have A Heart for Holy Family luncheon and the annual church retreat, on many different committees and as a frequent worship assistant. Peg is best known for her 30 years of service at Oakton Community College, where she served as president for 20 years. In that position, she accumulated many awards and honors and was an influential figure in higher education locally, nationally, and internationally. She has served on the Board/Advisory Committee at Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northwestern; as board chair of Hands of Peace, an organization bringing Israeli, Palestinian and American youth together; and as a member and leader of numerous organizations devoted to advancing and improving higher education, as well as institutional boards.
The Vision Keeper Dinner, held annually by Interfaith Action of Evanston, celebrates volunteers from across the city. This year’s event is Sunday, October 25, at 5:30 PM at the Hilton Orrington Hotel, Evanston. Tickets are $90 per person, and reservations are due to the Trinity office by Tuesday, September 29.
