More than 350 people gathered for Interfaith Action of Evanston’s annual Vision Keeper Dinner on October 25, celebrating 38 volunteers nominated by 21 faith communities for their outstanding service. The evening also included a special Community Service Award honoring St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for its 40 years of hosting the Hospitality Center for the Homeless, a weekday drop‑in center that provides a welcoming and safe space for people experiencing homelessness.
Trinity was especially well represented among the honorees. Peg Lee was recognized as Trinity’s 2026 Vision Keeper for her faithful service and leadership. In addition, Joan Sherman was named Interfaith Action’s 2026 Vision Keeper, recognized for years of fundraising leadership that helped strengthen and expand the organization’s ministry. Their recognition reflects the deep commitment to service, generosity, and community care that continues to make a difference throughout Evanston.
