Daniel Schwick is a graduate of Valparaiso University and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He was ordained in 1983 and has served four congregations, including Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago's Lake View neighborhood and, most recently, Grace Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect, where he served until his retirement in 2025.

As Pastor for Worship at Trinity in the month of August, Pastor Schwick will preside and preach during worship on Sunday mornings.

During the middle 18 years of his ministry, Pastor Schwick served as Director of Church and Government Relations for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) and as Director of the Illinois State Public Policy Office for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), advocating on behalf of the church and its social ministry organizations.
