The Church Council has called a special Congregational Meeting for Sunday, August 17, 2025, immediately following the 9:30 a.m. worship service (approximately 10:45 a.m.).
Meeting Purpose:
To receive a presentation from the Council regarding Trinity’s current financial priorities, including updates on building maintenance, reserve planning, and ministry funding.
To consider and vote on a proposed capital budget for the renovation of the Trinity parsonage, located at 9519 Lawndale Avenue, Evanston, IL 60203.
All voting members are encouraged to attend. As required by our constitution, only the business specified above will be considered during the meeting.
Adult Forum Series: Preparing for the Meeting
To help the congregation prepare, we’ll hold two Adult Forum sessions after worship in the weeks leading up to the meeting. These sessions are open to all and will include time for Q&A and discussion. These sessions will take place after worship in the Gathering Space during the usual Adult Forum time.
Sunday, August 3: Parsonage Renovation Overview
Led by Ruth Allee, this session will provide background on the planned renovation of the Trinity parsonage, including project scope, timeline, and contractor selection process.
Sunday, August 10: Financial Review
Led by Steve Meyer and Earl Rachowicz, this session will offer a high-level view of Trinity’s current financial assets and commitments, and a look at the path ahead, covering reserves, capital improvements, debt reduction, and ministry funding.
We hope you’ll join us for these conversations as we move toward a well-informed congregational meeting on August 17.
