The Board of Deaconesses is an elected group of 12 - 14 congregational
members, each serving a two-year term.
Each Deaconess is assigned approximately eight Trinity Golden Achievers
(members who are retired or over 55). Throughout the year they send cards,
visit those who are shut in and keep up with others on a regular basis. At
their meetings, the Deaconesses share information regarding anyone in the
congregation who may need special care or help, and determine ways to meet
those needs.
The Deaconesses prepare the Christmas gatherings for the Golden
Achievers, serving nearly 90 people with a meal and program at each event.
Special entertainment is a bonus for all.
One most appreciated function of Deaconesses: if requested, they serve at wakes or
luncheons or provide refreshments following funerals that take place in the church.
This caring group assists with congregational care and God's love. It is a wonderful
gift for them to work together and share their Gifts of the Spirit which nourish us all.
