Trinity’s youth education program, Sunday School, is a faith-forming,
kid-loving ministry. From the active learning centers for 3-year-olds
to the active and thought-provoking meetings with junior high students,
Sunday School connects children and young people with their faith in Jesus
Christ. And as these youth grow up, Sunday School supports families in the
joy and challenge of living as the loved people of God.

Middle School Confirmation
Confirmation is a time for questioning, searching, learning and growth as 6th, 7th and
8th graders meet weekly to prepare for living as a faithful young adults. In this
three-year program, students discuss the stories of God’s work in the world, participate
as worship leaders, serve the church and community in the name of Jesus, and spend
time learning and laughing with each other. At the end of the three-year program,
students examine the promises made on their behalf at their baptism and, with the
support of their families and the church, may affirm those promises themselves in a
ritual of confirmation.
First Communion
Trinity welcomes all children at the table of Holy Communion. Those who have yet to
take instruction in this sacrament of the church receive a blessing. For 3rd and 4th
grade students an introduction to the elements of this mystery of the faith is offered
in the springtime. A chalice is created and used by each student as they share in the
bread and the wine with their family for the first time. Younger children may also
receive the sacrament when parents sense their readiness and pastoral instruction with
the family is completed.
