Golden Achievers At Trinity, our members who are over 55 or retired are affectionately called the "Golden Achievers". Each month from September through May, a special luncheon is held in our church basement to which all Golden Achievers are invited. Each luncheon features an opening devotion led by the pastor, a meal, some hymn singing, and entertainment from the community. In the past year, the Golden Achiever's have been entertained by big band music, Lutheran school choirs, classical guitarists, and traditional Irish music played on hammered dulcimer and wooden flute. Approximately 30-35 members attend each month, with guests invited as well. To cover expenses, each Golden Achiever is asked to donate $8.00. An extra special luncheon is hosted by the Deaconesses in May and December of each year. These festive luncheons have seasonal themes and are eagerly anticipated by everyone!
