I truly believe that everyone should experience a week at camp. Lutherdale was the place I discovered God, discovered me, and learned how the two could work together. Camp is an incredible experience. I started attending camp in the third grade. I was young and nervous, but somehow my fears melted away as I got into the swing of things.

Lutherdale is located in Elkhorn, WI, an easy hour and a half drive from Trinity, it's easy to get to. It's located on a lake, and camp includes a number of water activities. The days are filled with worship, Bible study, arts and crafts, hanging out, and much, much more. In a week at camp it is common to make great friends. Now, Lutherdale offers specialty camps, too. So much going on, it's hard to believe a week is enough, but somehow they pack a ton into that short time.

For me, camp was where I discovered Jesus. I heard a call toward ministry. I made great friends who remain to this day. I found community in the staff that still holds a special place in my heart. I still love going back and experiencing the wonder of Lutherdale.

On more than one occasion after bringing the next generations of campers to Lutherdale, I have heard "it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be." From a jr. high youth, that's the highest praise you'll hear.

Camp is a special place - Lutherdale is a great way to spend part of the summer!
