"We Have No Power"

Recent storms and other conditions have put some people in the dark ... literally.

It seems like such a simple thing, such a natural thing, such an always thing.  You hit the switch on the wall or you plug a cord into the receptacle and things work.  However, when the power goes out, it is a challenging recognition to learn how dependent we are on an outside power source.  In our homes and in our offices, and just about everywhere else, we are regularly connected to a source of needed power and electricity.

That makes me think about how we rightly see our God as the most reliable source of power and energy in our lives.  While connected to God, we don't have to worry about going without.  After all, God is referred to as Almighty.  Let the storms of life come.  Let the trees of stability fall and block our path.  We are never cut off from the power of God.
