The question came at the end of Sunday's children's sermon.

We were talking about dogs and cats ... how they don't always get along ... sorta like people. 

The promise from Isaiah came to mind ... "and the lion shall lie down with the lamb" ... which really is more rightly quoted from Isaiah 11, "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb."  Anyway, we talked about how God wants us and helps us to get along with others ... and how God does that at all times ... when we are at home, at church, at school, at play, everywhere ... even while watching cartoons.  As the children were leaving the chancel, one boy asked, "So, does God like Scooby Doo?"

The young folks always help keep our theology relevant and connected to real life!

Indeed, God loves the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus ... the Babe born in Bethlehem ... to be our Messiah and our Savior.  Do you think that means God likes cartoons and cartoon characters?  In the eyes of a child, there is much to like and love there.
