Phew!  We have officially kicked off the school year.  This past Sunday was our Youth Sunday and Sunday School Opener.  This day feels fairly overwhelming to me.  We have A LOT going on...  The Hi-League, our high school youth group, leads our worship services.

 This year we had youth leading worship, playing in the band, giving messages, acting, greeting, ushering, reading the lessons, and serving communion.  We spend time planning, but we never know how it will all play out.  This year... ALL of our high school youth who participated walked through the front door right on time.  The services went off without a hitch, and two of our seniors gave outstanding messages about our trip to Harvest Farm this past July.  We are so blessed to have incredible youth with many, many gifts. 

Sunday School was energizing...  We had munchkins, fingerpaint, music, and story... how can you go wrong?  Finally, we concluded our day with a celebration out back.  We had an ice cream social complete with moonwalk.  

I'm still recovering. 

This past Sunday was a great way to start the year - energized, excited, and ready for anything. 

We'll have to see where the Holy Spirit leads us next...
